Tool Parts by Manufacturer
Most people start a search for spares with the tool brand because it narrows things down quickly. The list below covers the manufacturers we carry parts for, along with a note on what each brand is usually fitted for in UK trade and DIY use.
Makita dominates UK trade use, especially in joinery and on-site building work, and is by some distance the brand we sell the most brushes for. DeWalt is the next most-fitted brand, particularly on mitre saws and cordless impact drivers. Bosch covers both the Professional Blue trade line and the Green DIY line; brushes and planer drive belts for the green hand-planer range are popular fitments. Festool shows up most often for sanding pads and plunge-saw brushes.
Hitachi and HiKOKI share most of the same internals — the brand was renamed in 2018 but brush fitments did not change. Milwaukee, Titan, Black & Decker, Evolution, Einhell and Ryobi all have their own collections too.
Brand is a good starting point but rarely enough on its own. Once you have the brand, the tool's model number is what confirms the fit — brushes especially can look identical between machines but differ by a millimetre or in the lead style. If the original part has a code printed on it, that beats every other identifier.
If brushes are what you're after, the brand-specific carbon brush pages are the fastest route: see all carbon brushes for the full hub.
