Find tool parts by part type, model number and fitment

Replacing a worn-out part is almost always cheaper than replacing the tool. The challenge is matching the new part to the old one accurately, because most tool spares look broadly similar but differ in the small details that matter at fitting time.

For carbon brushes, the things that matter are the brush dimensions in millimetres — width by thickness by length — the terminal style at the lead end, and the part code stamped on the original if one is visible. For planer blades it is the blade length, edge type (HSS or TCT) and whether the blade is reversible. Bearings are identified by inner diameter, outer diameter and width, usually printed on the steel seal. Sanding-pad replacements need the correct diameter and the right hole pattern so dust extraction still works.

If you have the old part to hand, a quick photo and a measurement is usually enough to confirm a match. If not, the tool's full model number from the rating plate is the next best thing. Email us with either and we will check the fit before you order.
