Black Friday is a good moment to top up the workshop spares cupboard, so the first job in January isn't held up by a missing part. The list below covers the wear parts and consumables that tradespeople and serious DIY users get through during the year.
Carbon brushes lead the list. A spare pair for each regular brushed tool (angle grinder, mitre saw, SDS hammer, corded drill, planer) is a small cost that can save a lost day later. Find yours by brand: Makita carbon brushes, DeWalt carbon brushes, Bosch carbon brushes, Hitachi and HiKOKI, or browse all carbon brushes.
Saw blades and cutting discs are next. A spare blade for the mitre saw and circular saw, cutting discs for the angle grinder, and a few jigsaw blades for fine and coarse cuts cover most jobs. The range is under cutting tools.
Drill and impact driver bits are the third category. A fresh set of HSS drills, a cobalt set for stainless steel, and impact-rated screwdriver bits are worth having in the case. See drill and screwdriver bits.
Sanding consumables such as backing pads, abrasives and polishing pads wear faster than people remember. See sanding and polishing pads and the wider sanding and abrasion range. Vacuum and dust extractor bags and filters round out the cupboard: see vacuum bags and filters.
The full list is on the tool parts hub. If you'd rather start from the brand, the manufacturer directory takes you the rest of the way.
